Student expectations
As a participant of the TRIO Talent Search program, it is a privilege to participate in this activity. Your behavior is a reflection, not only of you as an individual, but the program as well. We want everyone to enjoy the experience. It is very important that everyone follows the expectations in order to participate in all activities. If a student doesn’t follow the expectations below, we reserve the right to send a student home at any time at the participant’s expense.

Students are expected to listen and be respectful of the staff, chaperones and adult volunteers. The following behaviors are NOT allowed:

Loud and/ or inappropriate behavior, harassment, fighting and other disruptive and potentially dangerous behavior
Theft or destruction of property
Public displays of affection
Possession of any alcoholic beverages, drugs (except those prescribed by a physician), tobacco, vaping products or weapons is strictly prohibited.
Leaving an event early without permission from both the Talent Search staff and a parent/guardian.

Parent expectations

1. Inform school of student’s absence ahead of time to attend activity.

2. Be on time or early at the pickup and drop off locations. This helps everyone stay on schedule.

3. Please provide a working phone number in case of emergencies.

4. If your child is unable to attend, contact us as soon as possible, as we usually have a waiting list.

5. I agree & understand that my child will be transported in an Iowa Lakes vehicle and/or a charter rental.

6. If your child needs to leave an activity early, you are responsible to contact and talk with the lead chaperone of the event. Their contact number can be found on the bottom of the transportation schedule. Permission for a student to leave an event needs to come directly from the parent or they may not be allowed to leave.

7. TRIO Talent Search is not responsible for your student until they have boarded the bus/van/car for the event. We recommend that parent/guardian stay with student until Talent Search staff and transportation has arrived.

By signing I acknowledge that I have read and agree with the student and parent expectations. My student has my permission to participate in this event. I understand that my student may be transported by an Iowa Lakes vehicle or charter bus for this event. I give TRIO Talent Search permission to use photographs/screenshots from the event for promotional and social media purposes. Electronic Signature Agreement: You agree your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your manual signature on this application. You further agree that your signature on this document (hereafter referred to as your “E-Signature”) is as valid as if you signed the document in writing.
